In 2022, Oscar Valladares Tobacco & Co. celebrated its 10th anniversary in the premium cigar business with the release of a new cigar line called the Oscar Valladares 10th Anniversary. This line not only uses aged tobacco in its blend but also represents the company’s most premium offering to date.
The blend features a dual wrapper — a San Andrés Maduro grown in Mexico along most of the cigar and a Honduran Candela leaf wrapped around the foot. Beneath these wrappers, there is a Honduran binder and long filler tobacco that has been aged for at least five years.
These cigars are medium to medium‑full in strength and begin with earthy and grassy notes from the Candela leaf, followed by a rich, harmonious combination of leather, cinnamon, cocoa, spicy pepper, and dried fruit flavors as the smoke develops.
The Toro vitola of this cigar was rated 91 points by Cigar Insider in 2022, making it one of the highest‑scoring anniversary releases of the year.
